Volvo CE starts taking orders for new all-electric compact excavator, wheel loader

Electromobility enthusiasts can now place orders for two of the latest innovations from Volvo Construction Equipment.

The manufacturer opened the prebooking process for its new ECR25 electric excavator and L25 electric wheel loader Aug. 19.

The new equipment has significantly lower noise levels, reduced energy costs, improved efficiency and fewer maintenance requirements compared to conventional machines. The lithium-ion batteries in each model can power the equipment for eight hours while generating zero exhaust.

Production will begin next year, with deliveries to customers starting in June 2021.
