In an ongoing effort to enhance customer service to its network of dealers in Canada, HD Hyundai Construction Equipment has opened its first Canadian parts distribution centre. The facility, located in Mississauga, Ont., will provide better lead times and better service to the company’s Canadian dealers, and its customers, making it more efficient for dealers to order and receive parts needed to service customers’ machines.

The centre is the anchor tenant in a newly opened and expanded Expeditors International warehouse facility at 2540 Hogan Drive in Mississauga, which provides Hyundai flexibility to expand its footprint as needed.

Speaking about his company’s commitment to the Canadian market, and how important it is to its North American operations, Gordon Plotkin, regional director – Canada, for HD Hyundai Construction Equipment North America expressed his appreciation to the Canadian dealers. “Without your hard work and efforts, and your dedication to Hyundai, we may not be at this point in our trajectory,” he said. “So, thank you to our dealers and, of course, that extends to our customers.”

Canada represents roughly 16 per cent of HD Hyundai CE’s North American operations, and is a market that holds great growth potential, explained Stan Park, president of HD Hyundai Construction Equipment North America, in his remarks during the grand opening.

“We would not be able to be here without our dealers,” he said. “To be a real player in Canada, we have to have part support… Please consider this to as a first step we are making.”
