Pomerleau recently made a pair of appointments to its executive team, including the addition of another female to its executive committee.

Legal expert Sophie Morin is now the company’s executive vice-president and chief legal officer. She is one of two women currently on the executive committee. Morin joined Pomerleau as senior legal counsel in 2018 and was quickly promoted to director and then vice-president – legal affairs and operations. In her new role, she will integrate the corporate law, ethics and compliance, and governance teams.

Alternative Projects and Technical Center of Expertise (APEX) leader Pierre Lafond has been appointed as executive vice-president-APEX. Already a member of the executive committee, the company says his promotion is a natural progression supported by his various contributions to Pomerleau over the years. Since joining Pomerleau in 2016, Lafond has developed and grown the APEX team, and has been in charge of putting together proposals and winning alternative projects, while controlling the associated risks.
