EllisDon has promoted two executives to head the company’s modular building and legal divisions.
The contractor said Aug. 13, Tom Howell, previously senior vice-president of Legal Services and Labour Relations, will now lead the company’s growing off-site manufacturing unit. He joined EllisDon in 2012 as vice-president of Labour Relations and was promoted to also oversee Legal Services in 2016.
Howell will take up leadership of the company’s prefab division, which opened a 300,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility outside Hamilton, Ont. last December.
Andrés Durán, who has served as EllisDon’s general counsel and a vice-president since 2018, is also taking on a wider role.
The company said Durán has been promoted to senior vice-president and general counsel. Durán has spent five years with EllisDon, starting as vice-president of P3 & Infrastructure Projects in 2015. His previous experience includes roles at SNC-Lavalin, Infrastructure Ontario and Montreal-headquartered law firm Stikeman Elliott.
